Easter: Toddler Edition
As a mother you strive to make holidays magical. Often times getting more caught up in the "I have to make this perfect!" and forgetting the true meaning behind the holiday. This past Christmas I spent more time crying about what hadn't gone off as planned and forgetting to just SLOW DOWN and enjoy. On December 26th I made a pledge, a pledge to slow down, to absorb the time being spent with family, to enjoy watching Parker take everything all in, and most importantly to instill the importance of the meaning of each holiday.
Leading up to Easter this season I have spent time with Parker reading her the Tiny Bear Bible & her "Hooray It's Easter" book. I've also incorporated some Easter topics to her daily prayers, as well as some Easter sing-a-longs on You Tube.
I've really enjoyed watching her learn to appreciate the true meaning of Easter and the blessing accompanied with this holiday. God has big plans for our children, and it's our job as parents to instill in them the proper life tools to accomplish whatever his plans may be.
This week we be doing the traditional Easter egg dying, as well as adding a mini Easter egg hunt to her Easter basket (click to get your little their own!)
