Hi.

Welcome to my blog.

This is where you will find our daily adventures, realities of life with a toddler, and sneak peeks into our little farm, travels, style, and a few of my favorite things.

A full time friendship...

A full time friendship...

As humans, It seems as if we only ask for help when we feel like we are completely drowning in problems. I feel like we are trained to "power through all of our problems" , to "be strong", to be independent. This isn't realistic. Sometimes you simply need a hand to hold, someone to tell you "It'll be ok".

Here's the thing... God doesn't want you to do it alone - especially struggle.  Nobody should ever stumble, alone. God is here for you during the good AND the bad times. That is the beauty of his love for us. He has a wonderful way of taking our fears + worries and giving our hearts rest. True peace. He can bring light into what may seem like the darkest place you've ever been. But there's the trick... You have to accept that. Putting your trust & full faith in God 100%. You have to let go, and let God.

(I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13)

I was (am) guilty, so so guilty of only calling on God when times got tough. When things would be going seemingly perfect in my life magically I was "too busy" or I felt like - "If things are going so good then I must be doing ok on my own, right?"

So what... Now a week after God has gotten me over a hump, a hump that made me feel like I was never going to see the light at the end of the tunnel... NOW I'm too busy for him?

I feel like the best way to make that situation relatable to Our world is: The feeling you get when that one friend you have that ONLY calls you when things are going crazy in their life and needs you to listen to them vent and they never once ask about you.  Or the one that only calls when he/she needs you to do something for them. Friendships only motivated by what they may gain.  It hurts.  It hurts feeling "used" or only wanted when times are tough for them.

I feel like reminding yourself of how those friendships make you feel is one of the best ways to hold yourself accountable to dedicating and making time for your relationship with God. Not only when things are bad, but also when they are good. To give thanks, to pray for others, and to ask for forgiveness (lord knows we all need it, somedays 😅), or simply just to "vent" about life.

We don't have to go through this life alone, and for that I am grateful❤️
